Checklist before sending corn seeds
Please review this check list before you sent corn seed and make sure that:
• Phytosanitary certificate is included, stating that the corn seed has been checked and found free of weeds (see here). No seed treatments are necessary.
• Use a courier to send the seed if possible. Fed ex does a good job for Chile, however other companies have not worked well for us.
• Include original airwaybill, invoice, and phytosanitary certificate. Get two originals of the phytosanitary certificate if possible, save one just in case there is a problem. List transgenic materials separately in the invoice and package them separately also. Make sure net weight listed in the invoice coincide with that in the box.
• Planting plans and or instructions are inside the box 1 or have been e-mailed to MAS.
• Make sure MAS has been sent a fax/email with a copy of the phyto and airwaybill number.
• Make sure harvest/row tags have been included if needed or send them later.
